Creative Arts /

Creative Arts for Kids is a monthly program that entices students ages 6-12 to discover the wonderful work of art and art history through hands-on art instruction and exhibition tours.  Children, along witht their families, learn the vocabulary of art while experimenting with the practice of art. This authentic learning opportunity provides children with a fun, engaging and effective introduction to visual literacy, skills and techniques, and cultural and historical perspectives.

Creative Arts is held the first Saturday of every month September through May.  Kids tour MOCA exhibitions to learn about contemporary art and then paint, sculpt or draw like a famous artist.  Adult family members are invited to join in the fun!  Taught by a professional art teacher.

Classes meet from 2-4 pm. Space is limited so advanced reservations are highly recommended.  Call 305 893 6211 to reserve your spot today.

$12 per class ($35 for a series of 4 classes) for MOCA members, City of North Miami residents and employees;  $18 per class for non-members ($60 for a 4-class series); $2 discount for each additional child in household.  Space is limited.  Pre-registration is recommended.
