MYSTERY DATES 2009 A SELL-OUT SUCCESS!!
Profiles of MOCA Mystery Dates Hosts 2009
A big thank you to everyone who supported MOCA's Mystery Dates fundraiser. A sell-out crowd of over 320 enjoyed a fun-filled evening of new firends, contemporary art and fantastic food and drink. Guests learned the location of their mystery dinner at a festive party at Museo Vault in Wynwood where they enjoyed Grey Goose "La Poire Peartini" cocktails and wines from Elizabeth Spencer, and bid in the silent auction on such coveted items as a leather duffle from Mystery Dates sponsor Cole Haan and a stay at the Viceroy. Dinners were hosted by art patrons and collectors in homes that the were as individual as the hosts themselves. Settings included an elegant waterside dinner in Bayside, a treetop terrace in a contemporary glass housein Coconut Grove and an industrial loft in Wynwood. After dinner, guests headed to W South Beach for a packed late-night party at The Grove.

Hosted by the MOCA Shakers and chaired by Erin Newberg and Ivonne Ronderos, proceeds from Mystery Dates fundraisers support MOCA exhibitions of emerging artists. This year's event is helping fund the exhibition, The Reach of Realism, on view from December 1, 2009 - February 14, 2010.
