A seasoned musician with a 38-year career, Oviedo has collaborated with renowned global artists such as Paquito D'Rivera, Arturo Sandoval, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Chucho Valdés. Come hear the unique sound of Calixto Oviedo and the Cuban Jazz Train as they reshape the connection between indigenous and Afro-Cuban music and jazz, using a playful combination of traditional Spanish elements and distinct blues.
