Discover and nurture your artistic side with MOCA's hands-on art experiences for adults.
MOCA Makers
MOCA Makers is a hyper-local, artist-led workshop series in which the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, serves as a site of exchange, skill-building, and creative continuity for adult learners. Offered monthly, the program invites local artists to lead workshops based on their own practices, providing the community at large with hands-on opportunities to learn new techniques, expand their creative practices, and engage in artmaking within a supportive, community-centered space. Designed for all skill levels, each session invites participants to explore diverse mediums and conversations while connecting with Miami’s dynamic creative community. Supplies are included with registration.
LEGACY AS ARCHIVE In celebration of MOCA’s 30th anniversary, the Legacy as Archive series reflects on the museum’s own evolving archive and its impact on North Miami’s cultural landscape. Each month, artist-led sessions guide participants through creative processes inspired by MOCA’s exhibitions and teaching collection, offering new ways to record and reimagine personal and collective histories.
Partnering with Housing and Social Services, MOCA provides monthly hands-on art workshops at the Sunkist Grove Community Center and the opportunity for tours at MOCA. Classes are held in three languages, English, Spanish and Kreyol.
